Garden Fencing in Shropshire

Premium close-board and panel fencing for boundaries and privacy.

About Fencing

What Are Fencing?

Good fencing does more than mark a boundary — it gives you privacy, security and a smart backdrop to your planting. We install close-board, featheredge, panel and trellis fencing using properly treated timber, concrete or timber posts concreted firmly into the ground, and quality galvanised fixings. The result is a fence that stands straight, resists wind, and looks the part for years rather than seasons.

FAQs

Fencing — Frequently Asked Questions

How deep should fence posts be set?

We concrete posts at least 600mm deep (more for tall or exposed fences). Shallow posts are the single biggest cause of leaning and blown-down fences — we never cut corners here.

Concrete or timber posts?

Concrete posts last longer and never rot, but timber posts look more natural. We advise on the best option for your garden during your free survey.

How long will my fence last?

Pressure-treated timber fencing properly installed should last 15+ years. Concrete posts can last 25+ years. We use only quality treated timber.

How much does fencing cost?

Close-board fencing typically starts from around £80–£120 per metre installed, depending on height, style and post choice. Panel fencing is a little less, contemporary slatted a little more. Your free quotation gives an exact, itemised price.

How long does installation take?

A typical straight run of 20–30m of fencing takes 1–2 days. Longer runs, sloping ground or removal of old fencing add a little time — we'll include a clear timeframe in your quote.

How do I maintain timber fencing?

Check posts annually for any movement, keep soil and vegetation clear of the base, and re-treat or re-stain every 2–3 years to maximise lifespan. We'll advise on the right preservative for your timber at handover.
